The venue for this year's black tie IFDA Awards Ball has been finalised. We are proud to announce that the event will take place in the 4 star Alexander O'Callaghan Hotel on Fenian Street, just off Merrion Square in Dublin city centre.


Description
The O'Callaghan Alexander Hotel is a hidden gem located in central Dublin 2 within strolling distance of Grafton Street, Merrion Square and Trinity College. This excellent 4 star hotel in Dublin is beautifully appointed with large bay windows, spacious lobby area and a stone round tower facade. The hotel fills with light and is bright and airy. The guest rooms have recently been fully refurbishments and include luxury touches like cashmere bed throws and plasma TVs.

Accommodation
Rooms at the O'Callaghan Alexander Hotel Dublin are newly decorated in contemporary restful shades of cream and chocolate brown. Classic rooms offer a choice of king, twin and triple beds. The facade of the hotel has a stone tower which gives the suites a striking large circular living area.

All guest rooms in this 4 star Dublin hotel have orthopedic Sealy beds with duvets and luxury Foxford bed throws. Included in the room services are full air conditioning, Plasma TV, broadband and built in U.S. and European plug sockets. The guest room breakdown is as follows:

Directions
The O'Callaghan Alexander Hotel is located beside the O'Callaghan Davenport and across from the O'Callaghan Mont Clare close to Dublin City's Georgian Merrion Square within minutes walk of Grafton Street, Stephen's Green and Trinity College.

The Aircoach stops close to the hotel. There is a taxi rank in front of the hotel. The local DART Rapid Train Station that serves Dublin's coastal route is within minutes walk of the hotel. Taxi
There is a taxi rank outside the arrivals area at Dublin airport. A one way fare to the city centre takes from 30-45 minutes depending on traffic and costs approximately €30-€35.
Aircoach
Departs from outside the arrivals terminal at Dublin airport every 15 minutes from 05:30 to 23:30 daily. Adult fare is approximately €7 one way and €12 return.

Driving Directions from Dublin Airport







  • From the Airport follow the M1/N1 to the city centre.





















  • This route takes you through Drumcondra, onto Dorset Street.





















  • Turn left off Dorset Street onto South Frederick Street which leads on to Parnell Square and on to O'Connell Street.





















  • Continue straight down O'Connell Street and over O'Connell Bridge onto D'Olier Street, then College Green and around Trinity College, staying in the left lane and continue on to Nassau Street.





















  • At the end of Nassau Street keep left on to Lincoln Place staying in right hand lane.





















  • At the next set of traffic lights, the O'Callaghan Davenport Hotel will be visible straight ahead, the O'Callaghan Mont Clare Hotel faces the O'Callaghan Davenport Hotel on the other side of the street.
















  • Driving Directions from Naas N7







  • Take the N7 from Naas to Dublin





















  • Following the signs to the city centre, you will join up with the N4 at Kilmainhaim





















  • Continue down to Heuston Station and over the bridge





















  • Continue along the quays keeping the river on your right to O'Connell Bridge and turn right over the bridge onto D'Olier Street, then College Green and around by Trinity College on to Nassau Street.





















  • For the O'Callaghan Alexander, Davenport and Mont Clare Hotels, keep left and vere left at the traffic lights on to Lincoln Place, staying in the right hand lane.
